Day 42 Sunday in Madison
No rush to get out of the sleeping bag this AM as it's Sunday. It was nice and sunny, albeit a cool breeze at first. We just had a simple breakfast from the Sea to Sea trailer, oatmeal packages, cereal, yogurt, danish, etc.
The celebration service was at 9:30. (pic) They had a nice jazz band assisting in music, so we sat in on part of their practise before church. Pastor Doug Van Essen had a good message on faithfulness from Gal 5. Each week's Celebration service highlights one of the fruits of the Spirit.
The Madison CRC provided lunch outdoors for everyone. Bbq'd hotdogs or brats and all of the fixings plus baked goods etc. It's all good. If it wasn't for the cycling I'd likely come back 20 lbs heavier.
After lunch we got a ride to town and took a tour of the state capital bldgs (pic)
I'm in a church room now with more than a dozen others who are blogging, loading pictures etc.
Tomorrow we move on and will be passing into our 9th state, Illinois.

Hi Randy,
Missed reading your blogs the past week as we were camping at Shuswap. It sounds likeyou really enjoyed seeing Dordt again. See any of the old profs? We read the Shifting Gears while we were away and as you got to Iowa it sure brought back memories of Dordt, Sioux City, The Rush, hanging out with the gang from The Hat, etc. Good times!! You also made it through your 2 longest days. Good job! IT must seem downhill from here on in. The last 3 weeks will go by quickly now. Take care expecially as you go through Chicago.
